Why this forum – and why now?

Siem Reap is known worldwide for its temples. But its future depends on a richer, more up‑to‑date story: a province where trails, waterways, rural landscapes and neighbourhoods invite people to move, connect and stay longer.
Cambodia Branding Forum | Reimagining Siem Reap through active and adventure tourism is for people who want to help write that story – and turn it into real products, experiences and partnerships.
If you are:
  • Building or managing tourism products in Siem Reap
  • Responsible for destination policy, marketing or investment
  • Active in sports, outdoor, culture, community or development work
  • Creating content, stories or visuals about Cambodia
  • Curious about how branding can be more positive and meaningful
…this is a room you will want to be in.

What the Forum offers

The Forum is a practical platform for dialogue, co‑creation and coordinated action. It helps local and national actors:
  • Clarify identity – What should Siem Reap stand for as an active and adventure destination, beyond its most famous sites?
  • Shape experiences – How can trails, water‑based activities, rural experiences and urban walks be improved and better connected?
  • Align the story – How can businesses, authorities, communities, creatives and partners support the same narrative together?
  • Strengthen partnerships – Where are the best opportunities for collaboration across tourism, sports, development and media?
The format is light and interactive, with space for open conversation, concrete ideas and new collaborations rather than protocol‑heavy speeches.

What happens on the day

The day is designed to be interactive, fast‑moving and grounded in the destination.

Afternoon – Optional field experiences curated by local specialists will take small groups into and around Siem Reap to:
  • Walk or cycle selected routes that combine movement, village life, nature and community encounters.
  • Meet local operators, guides, entrepreneurs and community groups behind existing and emerging active experiences.
  • Work alongside content creators and influencers who will be capturing the day through photo, video and storytelling, offering practical insights into how Siem Reap can be shown in more positive and meaningful ways.
These experiences are designed as testing grounds for ideas discussed in the morning, giving participants a chance to see what works on the ground – and how it can be improved.
