MD and InSET partner for sustainable tourism development

In July 2017, Millennium Destinations entered into a partnership with the Institute for Sustainable Development, Environment and Tourism - InSET in Albania, an independent, non-governmental, non-profit scientific organization of professionals in the field of tourism, marketing, finance, environment, entrepreneurship, etc.
InSET focus is on supporting the whole society and relevant stakeholders through:

the philosophy of sustainable development in all sectors of the economy and especially in the tourism sector;
the care for the environment impact on sustainable development, from physical, social, technological, competitive and community aspects.

InSET provides a comprehensive approach to sustainable development models and also the capacities to promote its implementation in different sectors of the economy.

Partners will find through us a focus on networking at different levels, local, national, regional and international level as well as opportunities for interaction and coordination of efforts of all relevant actors.

AMFORHT Board Meeting in France gathers 10 countries including South Korea

On July 6, 2017, the Board of Governors of AMFORHT - World Association for Hospitality and tourism Education and Training had its meeting in Bordeaux, France.
The meeting took place at Vatel Bordeaux International Business School for Hotel & Tourism Management, and was exceptionally open to country delegates and new members (17 guests from 10 countries).

Catherine GERMIER-HAMEL, Founder & CEO of Seoul-based Millennium Destinations, attended the Board Meeting as Amforht Country Delegate, and representative of new Amforht Member Chris & Partners in South Korea.
During the meeting, she introduced the project to host the 23rd Amforht World Forum in 2019 in South Korea, together with Chris & Partners and local educational institutions. This would coincide with the celebration the 50th anniversary of the association.
A regional Amforht conference would also be hosted in Seoul in 2018.

In 2016, Millennium Destinations hosted the Sustainable & Smart Tourism Forum in Seoul, supported by Amforht and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.

Xavier GRET, Director of the Association Hôtellerie Québec, AMFORHT Governor of the Board, and Delegate for Canada, also introduced the program of the upcoming 21st Amforht World Forum in Montréal, Québec, on November 26 to 29, 2017. About 500 professionals from the tourism and hospitality industries, and academia are expected.

The meeting was followed by a lunch at Vatel Bordeaux's application restaurant and a visit of La Cité du Vin (The Wine City).
