Millennium Destinations, official partner of a US Ecotourism Research on Jeju Island, South Korea

On March 4th, 2015, Mr. Benjamin Morse, Master’s of Science Thesis Candidate 2016 at the School of Natural Resources and Environment from the University of Michigan, officially designated Millennium Destinations as official partner of his Ecotourism research on Jeju island, South Korea. 

Millennium Destinations' support will mainly and not exclusively consist in consulting services on ecotourism, sustainable tourism, and tourism marketing, as well as providing assistance for the following activities:

• Empirical and theoretical research on ecotourism in South Korea
• Organization and implementation of the pilot and field surveys in South Korea during the summer 2015; 
• Logistical coordination for both the pilot study and the summer study;
•  Connection with key stakeholders involved in ecotourism in South Korea, particularly ecotourism operators in Jeju island, selected as the geographic area of the study;
• Identification of local university students to assist with translation of materials into Korean, administration of the questionnaire;
• Conducting Korean-based interviews and translating and transcribing the results of the interviews;
• Identification of local funding / partnership opportunities.
